TWENTY SIXTEEN: A SUMMARY

And thus wraps up my second full year in this business. It included so many firsts and lasts, growth, new things, people, and places. I could say so much about everything that went on, and so much about all the new things I learned, but really I'm just thankful. I'm thankful that the Lord brought about who and what He did. I'm thankful for the tough stuff I encountered and the way it will continue to shape myself as a business owner. I'm thankful for fellow photographers and creative professionals who are so quick and generous to share their knowledge. I'm thankful for my husband, who constantly supports and encourages me, lets me cry my eyes out when I'm overwhelmed, celebrates with me when I've done well, and works so willingly weekend after weekend, even though he works so hard the other 5 days out of the week. I'm thankful for yoga pants and coffee.. I don't think that merits an explanation... I'm thankful for my friends who are so patient, who didn't abandon me when I failed to reach out to them for a month. And then there's the clients, those who trusted me to capture some of the biggest moments of their lives. I'm thankful for them. I'm thankful for new friendships found, the kindness extended by all, and the unique ways we were able to laugh and joke throughout so much of our time together. I'm thankful for the way they have passed on my name and told others that trusting me is worth it. Without them, I'd just be a lady with a camera and a dream. I'm thankful for a new year, for more learned skills, upcoming travels, and new friendships. 2017 has already pushed me into unknown territory, where opportunities to grow are plenty. So, I'll raise my virtual glass to the new year and welcome the challenges ahead!
