MRS. ANDRUS LOPEZ | TUSCANY HILL BRIDAL SESSION
It is no question Andrus is beautiful, but anyone who has spent even just a little bit of time with her will testify that who she is as a person is just as attractive. And maybe that's cliche to say, but it really is so true. I first met Andrus as one of the maids of honor for one of my previous brides, Brooke, who was also in Andrus' wedding party. Andrus helped round up and take care of Brooke's dogs during her engagement session, assisted her during her bridal portraits, a

MR. + MRS. CASTILLO | THE GROVE AUBREY SUMMER WEDDING
What a beautifully simple and refreshing day this was. I mentioned briefly on their engagements blog post that Brittany, Micheal and I go wayyyy back to elementary school. I just keep thinking back to Brittany and I as kids in 5th grade choir together, so seeing her in such a stunning dress, as a real live bride, was really kind of surreal. These two smiled and laughed so easily together all day, making their love, even though it’s been flourishing and developing for a while

MRS. ALEX ELLIOTT | CLASSIC OAKS RANCH BRIDAL SESSION
Y'all, I think I shot longer than I've ever shot for a bridal session this day. The opportunity for wonderful images were countless, with Alex looking as gorgeous as she does and Classic Oaks Ranch being as beautiful as it is. Some sweet family members came along and were INCREDIBLE helpers, especially her cousin Lauren who really I should just hire her to be my assistant on all my shoots, and we all made several new four legged friends as a pretty awesome bonus. Those guys a

MR. + MRS. VEENENDAAL | TEXAS TECH SUMMER COURTYARD WEDDING
The first time I heard of Darian was when Rowdy and I first started dating. He had gone to his cousins high school graduation where a bunch of family members were together. He was listing names of everyone who was there with him when he names Darian, who I though was his uncle or something. WRONGGGG lol. She has been a close family friend for many years, come to find out, but ever since we’ve jokingly referred to her as uncle Darian. Fast forward, Darian meets Justin. Justin

MR + MRS ELSEY | THE GROVE AUBREY WEDDING
Rowdy and I have been blessed to have the opportunity shoot the weddings of our long time friends and neighbors recently. Four weddings this year, to be exact. And it's pretty amazing. Dayton Elsey is one of those friends, and he and Rowdy grew up being inseparable. So many of the stories I've heard of Rowdy's childhood contain Dayton and the rest of the Elsey family, so it was a complete honor to photograph their wedding. Seeing Dayton and Angela together all day was so fun.

ALEX + RYAN | ROMANTIC CREEK BED ENGAGEMENT
This is what engagement session dreams are made of, guys. The day before this it was unseasonably cold and a little cloudy, so with our plans for them to be in the water I asked if they would be interested in waiting until the next day when it was supposed to be about 15 degrees warmer and sunny, and I am SO GLAD WE DID THAT. It ended up being one of the most beautiful days of the year so far. I couldn't have asked for more from these two. From their clothing choices to the w

ADDISON + CHRIS | ARBOR HILLS ENGAGEMENT
I'm going to start this with how Chris proposed, because I feel like it's the best thing ever. It was during a Christmas party. Addison may or may not have been dressed up in a santa suit onesie. Awesome, right? Her friends distracted her in another room while everyone got in position, and as she opened the door it dawned her what was going down. It was pretty dang funny, but for as funny as it situation was, it was even more sweet. By the reactions of their friends and famil

HANNAH + JACKSON | WHITE ROCK LAKE ENGAGEMENT
The first time I saw Hannah I was seven years old and she was about five or so, and my family had just moved in next door to her and her family. We grew up playing together every so often, riding bikes or playing baseball in the yard or basketball in the driveway. We were simply next door neighbors, linked by the street name we put down when we wrote out our address, but a few years ago something else linked us. Something eternal. I came to know the Lord. Hannah noticed, of c

TWENTY SIXTEEN: A SUMMARY
And thus wraps up my second full year in this business. It included so many firsts and lasts, growth, new things, people, and places. I could say so much about everything that went on, and so much about all the new things I learned, but really I'm just thankful. I'm thankful that the Lord brought about who and what He did. I'm thankful for the tough stuff I encountered and the way it will continue to shape myself as a business owner. I'm thankful for fellow photographers and
