I've known Bridget for a long time now, having met through a mutual friend when we were in our late teens/early 20s. I've since shot their wedding and their family as its grown over the years and it's always so so wonderful. They're the kind of people who just let the things unfold. When I've photographed them with their son the past two years, it's always just been a "We get what we get but we're not going to loose our minds over it" type of vibe. I can't tell you enough how helpful that is when doing photos with small children. They come openhanded, in the moment, and ready to switch gears when needed. There's no forcing a certain photo or too much pressure put on and I truly think it helps some really wonderful moments play out, like with these images below.
This session was initially supposed to be more of a newborn session, but it got pushed back twice after sickness and some random things popped up that prevented us from staying within that newborn window. So now I'm just callin' it a family session welcoming their sweet baby girl. Goes to show an at home session is good at any time!
